PLEASE TELL US that the last Athena Lee book was some sort of fan-fic, and not an actual part of her story, because the book was 'off' on so many levels:
ReplyDelete1) How did such a strong and brave character i.e. Athena, suddenly become a weak, cowardly, doom-and-gloom, pandering pacifist?
2) She was raped?! That's beneath you, Mr Paul. You were extremely pro-choice LGBT in the prior books, and then this? It's out of character, for an author, especially for one who writes progressively!
Unless the last book is ret-con'd, and the next Athena story continues on from War to the Knife, I will NOT be purchasing it....Athena could have been the equivalent of Michael Anderle's Bethany Anne, but it has been tarnished now, by this disaster of a new book, that has her getting raped and pregnant as a result!
